Barbara Bailey Hutchison
www.bbhsings.com
Her smooth, powerful voice is familiar at the White House, where she’s sung three times. Consumers have heard her on hundreds of commercials for McDonald's, Hallmark Cards, Heinz, and other national advertisers. She’s been voted "Best Solo Performer", "Best Acoustic Performer,"" and "Best Female Performer" in a national magazine poll. Oh, and she won a Grammy in 1996. Now, Barbara Bailey Hutchison is coming to Indianapolis to open the ninth season of the Indy Folk Series.

Bob Franke
www.bobfranke.com
Bob Franke (it rhymes with "Yankee") is at the peak of his considerable craft; brimming with the wise and spiritually generous songs for which he is best known, along with wrenchingly convincing topical songs and sugared with the hilarious. His are the kind of songs that really do have the power to change the world by being taken into the lives of people. They come to you, these songs. As Tom Paxton says, "It's his integrity. I always think of Bob as if Emerson and Thoreau had picked up acoustic guitars and gotten into songwriting. There's touches of Mark Twain and Buddy Holly in there, too."

Kara Barnard
www.karabarnard.com
Kara Barnard is a singer-songwriter and a nationally competing multi-instrumentalist. Already counted among the nation's finest fingerstyle guitarists, she is also currently Indiana's top-ranked female mandolinist. Her mountain dulcimer skills earned her an invitation to perform and give workshops at an international convention in Bogota, Colombia in 1997. Kara does more outside studio work and side-player gigs with her banjo than any of her other instruments.
